Hannes Buder

Hannes Buder (born 1978) is a musician and composer. He started playing guitar at the age of 14, when he became interested in a wide variety of musical styles, mainly contemporary classical and minimal music, blues, 60's rock and some kinds of jazz. Since then he's been exploring music and its related issues such as dance, movement, improvisation and composition, trying to develop an authentic music-language. He studied guitar at the Carl Maria von Weber Conservatory in Dresden and at the Franz Liszt Conservatory in Weimar.

Hannes Buder's own recording projects include the bands "Shotgun Chamber Trio" with Lucia Martinez and Oleg Hollmann, "[ro]" with Hannes Lingens, "Schulbus" with Hannes Lingens and Robert Menzel and "Hannes and Pook" with Carolin Pook. Beyond that he has collaborated with Niko Meinhold, Audrey Lauro, Henrik Walsdorff, Todd Capp, Beat Freisen, Anna Kaluza, The Composers Orchestra Berlin and many others. Hannes Buder's Solo recordings include "changes" (2000), "dunkelbunt" (2004) and "openyoureyescloseyoureyes" (2006).

Hannes has also composed, improvised and recorded music for different dance, theater and film projects. He's been working as a teacher/workshop leader at different festivals, music schools and with prisoners in jail.
