Josh Kun

Josh Kun is a 2016 MacArthur Fellow and the winner of a 2018 Berlin Prize and a 2006 American Book Award. He is a Professor of Communication at the Annenberg School of Journalism and the Department of American Studies and Ethnicity at the University of Southern California, as well as a journalist, essayist, and curator. He is an author and editor of several books, including Audiotopia: Music, Race, and America, Tijuana Dreaming: Life and Art at the Global Border, Songs in the Key of Los Angeles, The Tide Was Always High: The Music of Latin America in Los Angeles, and most recently Double Vision: The Photography of George Rodriguez. As an artist and curator, he has worked with SFMOMA, the California African American Museum, The Grammy Museum, The Los Angeles Public Library, the Hammer Museum, The Getty Foundation, among others.
