Liz Allbee is an improviser and composer who plays trumpet, conch, electronics and voice. Her work spans many genres, primarily encompassing improvisation, electronic composition, noise, weird pop, and experimental rock. Besides her solo work, current groups and collaborations include NoSugar w/George Cremaschi, Vagino w/Gino Robair, the Jon Raskin Quartet, the Zoo w/Michael Vorfeld, duos with Chris Heenan and Anthea Caddy, the Splitter Orchester and Georg Graewe’s GrubenKlang Reloaded Orchestra.
Most recent releases include her second solo album ‘Theseus vs.’ (Resipiscent, Fall 2009) and Forced Collapse (Holy Cheever Church, Spring 2010).
She has toured extensively throughout Europe and North America. She lived for fourteen years in the Bay Area and relocated to Berlin in November 2009.
