Rositsa Mahdi

(she/ her) is a queer, emerging artist of Bulgarian-Nigerian origin, based in Berlin. She has a background in working with languages, interpreting and translation, queer-feminist activism, research and work on projects aimed at empowering people with migration history, Black, Afro-descendant and Afro-diasporic people in Germany, as well as in dance, theatre and performance. Her current interests lie in the realms of healing and practices of care, solidarity networks, pleasure and rest as an act of political resistance from a queer-feminist, decolonial and intersectional perspective. She has most recently been involved in the performance series “To build to bury to remember” by Sarah Ama Duah and presented together with Naomi Boima and Sointu Pere at HAU 3, Clinch Festival, Tatwerk Performative Forschung and UDK-Rundgänge.
