"MILESDAVISQUINTET! (…) questions our listening habits, and the very manner of conceiving musical practice. (…) For instance, patterns of repetition are placed at the core of the improvising work, with somehow a very different approach than Steve Reich’s ou Philippe Glass’. Indeed, in this musical trend the listener is expected to focus on the tiny leaps between the various musical layers hardly distinguishable, rolled out on a very long time, whereas within MILESDAVISQUINTET!, we note that the working process is similar to the use of musical computing tools and the democratisation of their means, which is here displayed through the production of cold and layered loops and the sudden flow of a “track” to another by a single click of a mouse."
