Hannah Louve Benedum

Hannah Louve Benedum‘s trajectory as an artist has taken her down an eventful and unconventional path.

From her Post-Hardcore and Emo beginnings, via a brief stint as an electronic musician, she has found her way back to her guitar-based roots in Post-Rock/Shoegaze and the folky, doomy and blackened parts of Metal.

Along with her Post-Rock/Shoegaze band Nava Calma and filling in for Post-Metal bands such as Machukha, she is now embarking on a more stripped-down solo endeavor trading in dense, larger-than-life soundscapes with dreamy, melodic, yet demanding and heavy acoustic guitar work reminiscent of artists like Emma Ruth Rundle, Aldous Harding and Marissa Nadler.

Her haunting, siren-esque voice gracing the reverb-soaked, down-tuned guitars with tales of reckoning, resilience and moving on after living through the trauma of marginalization, substance abuse and assault.

She vocalizes her attempt to fit into a world that was not built for her and, by doing so, manages to humanise both herself and others in a disarming and empathetic way. Her debut record “Frailty: An Act of Divine Wrath” is planned for release in January 2027.
