The workshop “Free Improvisation and Creative Composition” will be held by Sandra Coutinho, founding member, bassist, and singer of the Mercenárias. In this workshop, up to ten participants will develop their own musical material through free improvisation and creative composition. Sandra Coutinho led several workshops in Germany as early as the 1990s, including in Dortmund, Essen, and Wuppertal, and lived in Berlin for several years, where she was part of the experimental music scene.
The works created during the workshop will be performed publicly that same evening as the opening act of the concert.
Bring your own instrument (examples of instruments beyond the usual: cooking pan, spoon, bell, exhaustion pipe, cardboard box, but feel free to bring your guitar or e-guitar and such…) and please let us know your instrument when you register.
