M.i.p.V. Músicas Intermináveis para Viagem

Músicas Intermináveis Para Viagem (Endless Music For Tripping) plays instrumental Trip Rock (ambient rock/post-rock/post-punk), performed just with guitar and drums. This music project was created by guitarist LauraL (aka Laura Leiner) and the band played its first gig in Porto Alegre (RS/Brazil), back in April 2004.

The first M.i.p.V‘s CD (“Músicas intermináveis para Viagem“) was released in 2006 in Brasil, where the band enjoyed frequent airplay and the music was also selected for various soundtracks for movie, theatre and TV.

M.i.p.V has been performed in Brazil and Europe and released its second album “M.i.p.V II” in 2011/2012  (Solaris Empire/Broken Silence) in Berlin, Germany, where the band is based since 2009.  “M.i.p.V II” was praised in the German Press, being the M.i.p.V compared to bands like Durutti Column, Tortoise, Department, Clair Obscur, Neu! and La Düsseldorf. The drummers Marie Leão and Santiago Rodrigues participated of this recording.

The band released its third album “Modus Continuous” in June.2016 in Berlin, by Laura’s Label Yellow Castle. It is a six tracks Album and brings influences of krautrock, noise, post-punk, dark jazz and experimental music. In CD and Digital formats, ‚Modus Continuous‘ was mixed by Martin Bisi on the legendary BC Studio – Brooklyn-NY, and mastered by Kurt (Pyrolator) Dahlke (aka tak) in Berlin.

Members: LauraL (guitar) and invited drummers, among them Pitchu Ferraz (São Paulo-BR), Dudu Essarts (Porto Alegre-BR) and Gil Delindro (Berlin). Argentine musician Ignatz Bee was in the formation of the parallel project M.i.p.V Pocket (2015-2016, Berlin), playing sample pad, cymbals and drum machine.
